Free numerical reasoning test

Twelve questions where you read data from tables and work with percentages, ratios and changes over time. The same kind of questions you meet in the numerical parts of SHL and Aon tests.

How it works

  • Each question comes with a table. Pick the correct answer from the options.
  • Keep a pen and paper or a calculator nearby, as you would for most numerical tests.
  • The questions get harder as you go: first reading values, then percentages and changes in several steps.
  • Each question has its own timer. When time runs out, the test moves on.

About this practice test

A numerical reasoning test measures how well you draw conclusions from figures, more than how fast you do mental math. Read the question first, then look up only the values it needs. After the test you see the correct answer and the full calculation for every question.

Practice one task type at a time:numerical interpretation. You see the answer and the explanation right after each task.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a calculator?

In this practice test it's up to you. Real tests say in the instructions whether a calculator is allowed, so read them carefully.

Which tests include numerical questions?

SHL Verify G+ and Aon's scales numerical, among others. Our guides to the SHL test and Aon's tests describe both.

Are the questions the same as in SHL or Aon tests?

No. The questions are our own and imitate the question type. We are not affiliated with SHL or Aon.
