Free Aon practice test
Aon, formerly cut-e, uses short subtests that each measure one thing. This practice test covers four of them in their own answer format, with an explanation after every question.
How it works
- scales numerical: is the statement about the table true, false, or can you not say from the data?
- gapChallenge: each symbol appears once in every row and column. Which one belongs where the question mark is?
- switchChallenge: which of three codes rearranges the symbols correctly? scales ix: which of nine figures breaks the rule?
- Each question has its own timer. To take a subtest with Aon's real time limit, use the practice test for that subtest.

Review of every question
Green marks the correct answer. Read the explanation and look at the question again, and the pattern will stick better next time.

Practice one question type at a time with an explanation right after each answer, or take a practice test with the same time limit as the test you’re preparing for. Everything is free and you don’t need an account.
Go to practiceAbout this practice test
Aon publishes free official practice questions and gives a time limit for each subtest, from 5 to 12 minutes. This test mixes questions in the same formats as scales numerical, scales ix, gapChallenge and switchChallenge. The questions are our own and the interface is simpler than Aon's. All four subtests also have their own timed practice tests with Aon's time limits, and gridChallenge has a separate working memory test.

Practice one task type at a time:tables, true or false, logic grids, switch codes and odd figure out. You see the answer and the explanation right after each task.
Take the full test on time:Aon (cut-e), mixed.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as Aon's tests?
No. The answer formats follow Aon's practice material, but the questions are our own and the interface is simpler. Do Aon's official practice questions as well.
Why does the time go so fast?
Aon's subtests are short, usually 5 to 12 minutes each. Getting used to working under time pressure is a big part of preparing.
Can I practice one subtest at a time?
Yes. Each of these subtests has a timed practice test with Aon's own time limit, and you can also practice one question type at a time with the answer shown right after each question.
