Free logic test with answers and explanations
Twelve matrix questions of the same type as in Matrigma and Alva Labs. They get harder as you go, and afterwards you see the correct answer and the rule behind each one.
How it works
- Each question is a 3x3 matrix with the bottom-right cell missing. Choose the figure that fits from six options.
- You have one minute per question. When time runs out, the test moves on and the question counts as wrong.
- You can't go back, just like in the real adaptive tests.
- Look for what changes along the rows and columns: shape, number, rotation, mirroring, movement or lines that add up.
Choose two numbers, left box first.

Review of every question
Green marks the correct answer. Read the explanation and look at the question again, and the pattern will stick better next time.

Go to practiceA free logic test that works like the real one
The logic test employers use in hiring is most often a matrix test. You see nine cells in a grid with the last one missing, and you pick the figure that continues the pattern. That is how Matrigma from Assessio and the Alva Labs logic test look. If you want to know what the test measures and how to approach it, read our guide to logical reasoning tests.
This test gives you twelve of these questions with one minute for each. The first ones are easy, and the last ones need you to see three rules at the same time. Our own engine creates the questions, so you get new ones every time you start.
Practice one task type at a time:matrices. You see the answer and the explanation right after each task.
Take the full test on time:Matrigma, adaptive, Matrigma, classic and Alva Labs logic test.
What your score tells you
You get the number of correct answers, how you did at each difficulty level and which kinds of rules you missed. We don't compare the score with Matrigma's or Alva's scales, because those are based on their own norm groups. Use the result to see what to practice next. It doesn't predict how you will do on the real test.
Frequently asked questions
Is this free logic test like Matrigma or Alva Labs?
The question type is the same: a 3x3 matrix where you choose the missing figure from six options. The questions are our own, and we don't compare your score with their scales.
Why one minute per question?
Adaptive Matrigma gives you one minute per question and Alva Labs gives you two. Practicing with one minute teaches you not to get stuck, which is the most common mistake.
Do I get new questions if I take the test again?
Yes. Our engine creates new questions every time, so you can retake the test without recognizing the answers.
Is my result saved?
Only in your own browser, so you can compare with your last attempt. We don't collect any answers.
