Free IQ test
Twelve questions of the kinds used in ability tests: matrices, number series, word meanings and cubes. You get your number of correct answers and an explanation for each question, never an IQ score.
How it works
- Matrices: pick the figure that completes the pattern in the grid.
- Number series: pick two numbers in order, left box first.
- Words: pick the word that means the same. Cubes: picture how a cube with symbols looks from another side.
- Each question has its own timer. When time runs out, the test moves on.
Choose two numbers, left box first.

A real IQ test compares your result with a large norm group and converts it into an IQ score. We have no norm group, so we never give you an IQ score. What you get is the number you got right, how you did on each task type and an explanation for every question. The tasks are the same kinds you find in ability tests used in recruitment, such as the matrices in Matrigma and the Alva Labs logic test, so the practice helps you recognize the formats.

Practice one task type at a time:matrices, synonyms, number series and dice. You see the answer and the explanation right after each task.

Frequently asked questions
Will I find out my IQ?
No. An IQ score requires comparing your result with a norm group, and we don't have one. You get your number of correct answers and an explanation for every question.
Is an aptitude test the same as an IQ test?
They measure similar abilities, but an aptitude test in recruitment doesn't give an IQ score. You get a result on a shorter scale, compared with a stated group such as working adults.
How long does the test take?
Each question has its own timer of one minute at most, and the whole test takes less than ten minutes.
